Here is a video of my talk, "Self-Help: the Vietnamese Battle of Ideas," from Grad Slam, a public speaking contest where graduate students from any discipline explain their dissertation research to a general audience in no more than 3 minutes. I won the first-place award at the University of California, Riverside in 2019.
Here is a video of my talk, "From Reformer to Vietnamese Revolutionary: the Fruits of Frustration at the 1919 Paris Peace Conference," in which I take a historical approach to understanding Hồ Chí Minh's political ideas. This was presented at the conference "The Making of a World Order: A Reappraisal of the Paris Peace Conference and the Treaty of Versailles" at the American University of Paris in May 2019, one hundred years after the 1919 Paris Peace Conference.
